Time for Friday Random Ten, where you hit "shuffle" on your favorite digital music player (for me my Windows MediaPlayer at work) and report on the first ten songs that it spits out.
More free and legal (I think) mp3's this week.
Okay, so maybe some of you do read what I write here, but I still don't think you guys know what a service I'm providing you here. One of the downloads I had to listen to (and quickly weed out) was Sinéad O'Connor's new single. I'm suffering so you don't have to.
I can guarantee that in the list below there isn't one song that's so bad that it makes you want to rip up a picture of the Pope. Or even break your vinyl copy of The Lion and the Cobra (oh, Shine-head, you used to be so talented, what happened?).
Here goes:
01. "Various Stages" - Great Lake Swimmers [via Sixeyes]
02. "The Sun Comes Through" - Kelley Stoltz [via Salon Audiofile ]
03. "My Pet Rat St. Michael" - Mark Eitzel [via Sixeyes]
04. "Turn It Up" - Big Strides [via 3hive]
05. "Neverending Math Equation" - Sun Kil Moon [via Miss Domestic]
06. "Summersound" - Self [via 3hive]
07. "Catch A Collapsing Star" - The Mendozi Line [via Sixeyes]
08. "Lives Of Crime" - Fruit Bats [via Sixeyes]
09. "Beast Life" - Numbers [via 3hive]
10. "Milk & Sugar" - The Hard Lessons [via 3hive ]
If you only download one song this week, make it: "Catch A Collapsing Star"

Isn't that new Sinead just awful? I was so disappointed. I think you either have to be a die hard fan or really love reggae. And even then, bah. Thanks for the tunes.
