One-Line Bio

Beer Snob. Music Snob. Movie Snob. Book Snob. Self-righteous Bleeding Heart Liberal. What's not to love?

I have been blogging since August 2004 when I was with Blogger and had a blog entitled "The Accidental Blogist." I grew tired of both Blogger and my blog's name, so I moved to TypePad in January 2005 and renamed my blog "The Long Cut." As in the opposite of a short cut, taking your time and looking around.

Since August 2004 I have used my posts to write about myself, my family, music, beer, food, film, photography, politics, books, sports, architecture, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I tend to be very opinionated on even the littlest things.

I reside in Southern New Jersey with my wife of fourteen years and our two boys, ages ten and five. I work in Philadelphia in the GIS (Geospatial Information Systems) field. It used to be called Computer Cartography, which used to be called cartography, which used to be called mapmaking.

In addition to my weblog, the Long Cut, I also have a photoblog, Ipso Photo, where I used to post a daily photo.
