WASHINGTON -- Ann Coulter, the conservative pundit with a penchant for creating controversy, caused a ruckus when she called 9/11 widows "witches" and accused them of using their husbands' deaths for their own political gain.
It is just the latest of the high-emotion, sharp-rhetoric attacks that she has leveled in four previous books and frequent appearances on cable television programs. Her firebrand style even inspired NBC's "The West Wing" to create a "a blond, Republican sex kitten" in her mold. (Except that chick from the West Wing had some iota of sanity.)
In her latest book, Coulter criticizes the four New Jersey widows who pushed for an independent commission to investigate the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that killed their husbands at the World Trade Center. The women also backed Democrat John Kerry's presidential candidacy in 2004.
"These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much," Coulter wrote.
I had the misfortune of seeing this woman on the Today Show. I really think that those who she actually advocates for should really not seek her services. I saw a clip of her with Tucker Carlson. You know that you have got to be out of your gourd when that guy looks at you like you are nuts.
So, please GOP and "liberal" MSM, PLEASE stop paying attention to this severely insane person. Stop making her legitimate. She is on the same planet as Fred Phelps and David Duke. She spit more hate and venom for women that actually had the nerve to be pissed off that their husbands died. Ms. Coulter would have us all march in lock-step to the beat of the GOP. How sad that she doesn't realize that to be an American is to ask questions and demand accountability from our government. I guess it's okay to question all the Dems...
