I have to wonder if this ad from Greater Philadelphia Tourism will really make people come want to come to Philly:
See, when I go on vacation I want to relax, not frantically run all over town.
And is making the city look like a Broadway musical the best way to make Philly stand out from other Mid-Atlantic cities? Last time I checked, Broadway was still in New York City.
I will give them props for somehow making Mayor Street look like the sanest guy in Philly (for you out-of-towners, he's the guy not wearing pajamas). As Albert will tell you, that's not an easy thing to do.

[Does anyone remember the 1984 Paul McCartney movie Give My Regards To Broad Street? Did anyone other than me see it? I remember winning tickets to the Philadelphia premiere my sophomore year of high school and being all excited about going into the big city to see it (at the SamEric on Chestnut, I think). One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Made his "Say Say Say" video look like frigin' Citizen Kane. Man, I had successfully forgotten that film, and now I had to go and use it as a post title and put that nightmare back in my head. Guh.]
Hi Mark,
Is there some sort of media player that I need to get to make, what looks to be an embedded movie link, work?

Wow, thats a bit "busy", huh? Maybe we should make one of those in River City? Of course, the Pavilion is the only 'hotel' in town and I don't think the strippers are that awake in the daytime and not sure they were pj's.
